Step by step

  1. 1

    Open notification settings

Use the staff profile menu and Notifications. Review the browser notification status and the categories you want to receive.

  2. 2

    Allow from a deliberate click

Choose Enable browser notifications and accept the browser prompt. Browsers require this user action; the website cannot silently grant permission.

  3. 3

    Repair a blocked permission

If the browser has blocked notifications, open its site controls for Corthex and allow Notifications. Reload and recheck the status.

  4. 4

    Run a test

Use Send test notification. Corthex waits for a browser display event or service-worker acceptance instead of immediately declaring success, and does not automatically close the test after eight seconds. Confirm I saw it, or choose No notification appeared for Windows/browser checks. Then test a real staff request with Corthex in another tab.

Good to know

Browser permission, in-app category switches, staff availability and operating-system settings all affect delivery. Enabling one does not bypass the others.

Repeated setup reminders can be snoozed. You can always return to Notifications to finish setup.

Check the result

Use the test controls on the actual computer and speaker you work with. Test a relevant new staff request with Corthex in another tab.

Questions & troubleshooting

Permission is allowed but no banner appears

Check OS notification permissions, focus mode and whether the relevant event category is enabled. Test notifications in the actual browser you use for work.

Will alerts work after every browser tab is closed?

Closed-tab delivery depends on browser/platform support and configured push delivery. Test it separately; an in-page banner is not proof of closed-browser delivery.
