Set your availability and working schedule
Make staff presence reflect when you can actually respond.
Before you begin
Open the staff profile menu and choose Notifications. Browser permission, Corthex preferences, your availability and your computer’s sound settings are separate controls.
Step by step
- 1
Choose a presence state
Use the profile availability controls to show whether you are available for support. Review the difference between online, invisible and offline in the offered labels.
- 2
Configure the schedule
Set working days, times and timezone where offered. Review overnight or split-shift behavior rather than assuming your computer timezone is used.
- 3
Check team coverage
Compare your schedule with teammates. Assignment alone does not guarantee that someone is currently available.
- 4
Test an out-of-hours request
Open a visitor session outside the configured coverage and verify the fallback message, form or workflow matches your process.
Good to know
A schedule is a support-availability rule. It is not a promise that a specific colleague will answer within a particular time.
Check the result
Use the test controls on the actual computer and speaker you work with. Test a relevant new staff request with Corthex in another tab.
Questions & troubleshooting
Customers expect an immediate reply when no one is present
Check team availability, handoff copy and workflow conditions together. Remove response-time promises your team cannot meet.
