Step by step

  1. 1

    Identify dependencies

Check whether the source is shared and whether another current source replaces it. Keep a copy outside Corthex if your records policy requires one.

  2. 2

    Remove the correct source

Use its delete action and read the confirmation. Compare its name and URL to avoid removing a similarly named replacement.

  3. 3

    Check the remaining list

Confirm the retired item is gone and the replacement is Ready.

  4. 4

Test the old and new facts

Ask a question that used the obsolete policy and check the answer and citations in a fresh conversation.

Good to know

Removing a knowledge source does not rewrite previously sent messages or remove copies of the same facts from other sources.

Check the result

Wait until processing is complete, then ask a question whose answer appears in the source and inspect the answer and citations.

Questions & troubleshooting

The old answer still appears

Search for duplicate sources and stale website copies. Also check whether the old value was hard-coded in the system prompt.
