Configure appointment booking — Calendar Beta
Connect a calendar, set available times and collect verified booking details.
Before you begin
Open workspace Settings and select Connections or Messaging as appropriate. Use an account authorised to connect the external business or store.
Step by step
- 1
Check setup status
A workspace administrator opens Calendar Beta. Provider registration and verification-email delivery must be configured before booking can be enabled. Google is the first rollout; Microsoft activation is deferred until its registration is ready.
- 2
Connect your calendar
Choose Google Calendar, sign in to the intended Google account and grant the requested calendar access. Select a writable calendar from the connection. A Corthex sign-in alone does not grant calendar access.
- 3
Set appointment rules
Choose the service name, timezone, duration, opening hours, minimum notice, booking horizon and buffer times. Busy time is excluded. Save the settings for this agent.
- 4
Choose booking questions
Name and verified email are always required. Customize labels, optional phone, reason and additional questions. Turn required questions on or off and define selection choices as needed.
- 5
Test before enabling
Use an intended test calendar and your own email. Ask for a time, open the secure link, verify the code, complete the questions, review the details and confirm. Check the resulting event and invitation before allowing customers to book.
Good to know
The assistant sees free slots, not other customers’ event subjects, bodies or attendee lists. In a new conversation, an email address alone is not proof: a verification code is required before own appointments are retrieved.
An appointment booked and verified in the same conversation can be checked through its specific receipt. Current times are read from the calendar; stale receipt times are not presented as current.
Calendar Beta does not cancel or reschedule appointments or automatically create video meeting links. Provider consent or sender-domain verification may still require action in the external service.
Check the result
Verify the connection status, correct agent assignment and one complete test in the external channel. External permissions and delivery rules still apply.
Questions & troubleshooting
The Connect button is unavailable
Expand Setup requirements. The Corthex operator must configure the provider OAuth app and callback; the customer then signs in and grants consent. Google may be limited to selected beta agents while sensitive calendar permissions await approval. Missing configuration is not a successful connection.
The email code does not work
Use the newest code within ten minutes. Five wrong attempts invalidate it. Request a new code; failed email delivery never enables a test-code fallback.
Confirmation is uncertain
Do not create a second booking blindly. Check your appointments. An administrator can inspect Recent bookings, check the provider event and release a reserved time only after confirming no event was created.
