Undo an Inbox management action
Reverse a recent supported status or management change with the keyboard.
Before you begin
Open Inbox and check that you are in the correct workspace. Select the conversation and review its latest customer message before taking an action.
Step by step
- 1
Stay in the Inbox context
After a supported management action, keep Inbox open. The undo history is for the current browser session.
- 2
Move focus out of text input
When focus is in a composer, input or editable field, the normal text undo behavior takes priority.
- 3
Press the shortcut
Use Ctrl+Z on Windows/Linux or Cmd+Z on macOS. Read the feedback to see which management action was restored.
- 4
Verify the current status
Check the restored conversation, assignment or visibility. If the server reports a conflict, refresh and inspect the latest state before repeating an action.
Good to know
Sending a message is deliberately excluded. Undo does not retract a reply that a customer may already have read.
Undoing deleted/archived or status actions is available only for supported reversible actions; do not treat keyboard history as a backup system.
Check the result
Check the conversation status and timeline after the action. When testing, use a separate visitor browser so you can see both sides.
